Rumesh Wijetunge

Rumesh is specialized in Management 3.0, being agile and building (distributed) agile software and business teams. Furthermore, he is the first person to be a Management3.0 Facilitator from Sri Lanka and has shared his many experiences with Management 3.0 practices.

Ralph is the Agile Coach at Wiley Global Technology (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka and has his own training and consulting company named APPTRA Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. He is an active member of the Agile community and shares his insights and knowledge by speaking at conferences, facilitating webinars, conducting certification, corporate and public training sessions, and by writing blog posts. He is also a SAFe Program Consultant, a Certified Scrum Professional from Scrum Alliance, a Certified Agile Coach from IC Agile, a PMI and PRINCE2 qualified project manager, and a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from IIBA. He conducts certification, corporate and public training, consulting and coaching sessions on Agile, Scaling Agile, Business Analysis and Design Thinking through his company APPTRA as well.

Since 2006 he has fulfilled several roles within the ICT, working in Airline, hospitality and leisure, Telecommunications, Healthcare & Insurance, ISV, Education, and Publishing business domains. His roles vary from Developer, Graphics Designer, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Development Manager, and Chief Innovation Officer. Since 2010 he is involved in Agile projects. He has extensive experience in setting up distributed teams across countries such as Sri Lanka, USA, UK, UAE, and Scandinavian Region and has experience in enabling change in organizations. Helping people and therefore organizations, work happily and smart, and thereby enabling them to create solutions that solve problems and deliver value is his passion.
